Art, Music, and Saints for April

10 Apr

I know that this is late but hey it was Easter week and my daughter had her 2nd week of Spring Break.  So we were busy having fun other than school fun!  Now that the weather is warmer fun in the park is an almost daily event for us.  So naturally Georges Seurat is a great artist to study.  I love Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.  It is easy to know which season you are in just by listening.  The link below is 45 minutes long having all four seasons.  You can break it down into about 10 minute segments.  You will know when the season changes.

April Artist is Georges Seurat: Sunday Afternoon on the Island of la Grande Jatte, 1886, Art Institute of Chicago. http://www.cgfaonlineartmuseum.com/seurat/p-seurat1.htm                                                                               The Siene at la Grande Jatte, 1888, oil on canvas.                          http://www.cgfaonlineartmuseum.com/seurat/p-seurat10.htm

No Saint for this month.  We are focusing on the death, resurrection, and commission of Jesus this month.

Enjoy!
